Shipping & Delivery

Every Mansahaus awning is built to your measurements after you order, so the timeline below starts from the day we confirm your drawing — not the day you pay.

Lead time

Stage What happens Typical time
1. Measure check We review your width and projection, confirm the wall type and send you a drawing to approve. 1–2 business days
2. Manufacture Frame is cut and powder-coated, fabric is cut and welded, motor and electronics are fitted and bench-tested. 15–20 business days
3. Freight to you Crated and consigned to your address on a dedicated oversize-freight run. See table below

Custom RAL powder-coat adds roughly 5 business days. If your order is urgent, tell us before you approve the drawing and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Delivery time by destination

Destination Transit after dispatch
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra metro 2–5 business days
Perth, Hobart metro 5–9 business days
Darwin, regional NSW / VIC / QLD / SA / WA 7–14 business days
Remote and off-highway localities Quoted individually before you pay

What delivery costs

An awning is not a parcel. A 4 metre unit ships as a single rigid crate over 4 metres long, and carriers price that on cubic volume, not weight. Rather than hide it, we quote it:

  • Metro delivery is included in the price you see for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth and Hobart metropolitan postcodes.
  • Regional and remote addresses are quoted before payment. Enter your postcode at checkout and the exact figure appears — there is no "surprise freight invoice" after the fact.
  • Units over 5 metres wide move as two crates and attract a second freight leg. We tell you the amount in writing before you approve the drawing.

How it arrives

Delivery is kerbside to a ground-floor address. The driver is not required to carry the crate through a house, up stairs or into a backyard, and most oversize runs are one-person vehicles. A 4×3 m unit weighs 85–110 kg crated, so please arrange two people to be home.

You will get an SMS with a delivery window the day before. If nobody is there, the depot holds the crate for five business days at no charge; after that, storage fees from the carrier apply and are passed on at cost.

Checking your delivery

Inspect the crate before you sign. If the timber is split, the shrink-wrap is torn or a corner is crushed, write "damaged" on the consignment note, photograph it, and email the photos to hello@mansahaus.com the same day. That single word is what lets us claim on freight insurance and send you a replacement without argument.

Installation

Delivery does not include installation. A full-cassette awning is a two-person job that involves structural fixings into brick, timber or concrete and a hard-wired or plugged 240 V connection. We supply the bracket layout, the fixing schedule and a wiring diagram; the electrical connection must be completed by a licensed electrician. If you would like us to arrange an installer in a capital city, ask before you order — we will quote it separately and honestly.

Delays we cannot control

Cyclones, floods, road closures and carrier industrial action happen. If your consignment is affected, we will tell you as soon as we know rather than waiting for you to chase us, and you can cancel for a full refund at any point before the awning is cut.
