About Mansahaus
Mansahaus sells one thing: a motorised full-cassette folding-arm awning, built to your wall, delivered anywhere in Australia at a price you can see before you talk to anyone.
Why only one product
Most awning companies carry six ranges at five price points, and the range exists so a salesperson has somewhere to move you. We took the opposite decision. One frame, specified at the top of what the category can build, offered in the sizes and finishes people actually order. Fewer parts to stock means shorter lead times, and one specification means we know the answer to every question about it.
What we did differently
- Published pricing. Drag the sliders, see the number. No "request a quote", no in-home appointment designed to end in a signature.
- The price includes metro freight. An awning is oversize freight and it is expensive; hiding that until checkout is the industry's oldest trick.
- Full payment, no deposit games. You pay once and you are covered by a 100-day return window. We would rather earn the sale than hold a deposit hostage.
- Over-engineered rather than value-engineered. A multi-chamber aluminium extrusion up to 2.2× thicker than the category norm, Sauleda Spanish marine-grade acrylic as the fabric upgrade, a motor and wind sensor included as standard rather than sold as an option.
How we build it
The frame is extruded and powder-coated to order. Fabric is cut and welded to your exact width — no hemming down from a stock roll. Motor, remote and wind sensor are fitted and bench-tested before the unit is crated, so the awning you unbox has already been run through its full travel and had its limits set.
Where we are
We are an Australian company selling to Australian homes. Support is answered here, in AEST business hours, by people who have the drawings in front of them. Manufacture is offshore, at a factory we selected after comparing frame sections, motor brands and fabric grades across the market — we are direct about that, because the alternative is pretending an Australian-assembled sticker means the extrusion came from down the road.
What we will tell you honestly
- If your wall will not take an awning, we will say so and not sell you one.
- If a smaller unit suits your patio better, we will say that too, even though it is a cheaper sale.
- A folding-arm awning is not a roof. It is rated to hold steady fully extended at 40 km/h and it should be retracted in a storm. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling you a repair bill.
