Privacy Policy

Mansahaus Pty Ltd handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This page says what we collect, why, and how to get it back or deleted.

What we collect

• Order information — name, delivery address, email, phone number, the measurements you enter, and the options you choose.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Shopify Payments and PayPal. Card numbers never reach our servers and we never see them.
• Messages — anything you send us by chat, email or callback request, kept so the next person who answers you has the context.
• Site analytics — pages visited, device type, and how you arrived, collected through cookies. This is aggregate behaviour, not a file on you.

What we do with it

Build and deliver your awning, answer your questions, handle warranty claims, meet our tax and consumer-law record-keeping obligations, and — if you opt in — send you occasional email about the product. That is the complete list. We do not sell personal information, and we do not trade or rent contact lists.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual data-protection commitments. We disclose information to anyone else only where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart and checkout to work, plus analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but the cart may forget you between visits.

How long we keep it

Order and warranty records: seven years, because tax law and the warranty period both require it. Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe. Chat transcripts: two years. Analytics: 26 months, then aggregated.

Access, correction and deletion

Email hello@mansahaus.com and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will respond within 30 days at no charge. We can delete marketing and chat data immediately; order records tied to a completed sale must be retained for the statutory period, and we will tell you exactly what is being kept and why.

Security

The site runs over TLS, payments are tokenised by the provider, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fill your order. No system is perfect — if a breach ever affected you, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Write to us first at hello@mansahaus.com; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
